Kanueth- a corrupt nation led by the Imperator Magistrate and Guild Council- has been thriving on the enslaved dragons, made successful by the Forges... and alkhemy.

Ola was raised by the dragons in secret, and has dedicated her life to them- to the world, she is but a rumor.

Nathanael has spent years building his empire of crime and shadow, intent on destroying Ivan Kerkhoff of the Guild Council. All he needs is the leverage to topple him.

When he hears of the 'dragon girl', paths collide and Nathanael makes Ola an offer: help him bury Kerkhoff and take Tristig Forge, and he will give her Dragon's Deep. Each fully intends to use the other to their own ends. What neither intend is to spark a flame, between the nations, the hidden past- and themselves.
