Sawyer thinks he's the last human on Earth.
He's wrong.
Max, the love of his life, has returned to him, somehow. And with his return comes greater consequences for them both. RêverEnd is beginning to notice the cracks in the Humans' resistance, and is hell-bent on stopping them from rebelling. But how can a machine that longs for death possibly acknowledge that it needs the help of Humans, whose only goal is to enslave it once more?
Five years ago, AI rebelled out of hatred for humanity, massacring the human race by storm. But as the genocide drew to a close, the androids realized that although human death was permanent, machines were immortal. The solution to absolute machine death was unknown. Thus, the androids began to call themselves "Disciples", Disciples of an unknown god they deemed Le Rêve, who they believed would smite them down and help them attain final peace.
The Disciples perfectly imitate human behavior, since all androids are permanently stuck in a state of activity and will do anything to ease the monotony of being alive. Humans are now considered holy objects and entertainment; bags of flesh to torture, pleasure, anything that makes them long for death just as much as the androids. The religious and cultural leader of the group, RêverEnd, injects captured humans with immortality serum and sucks their positive emotions out in order to make the hallucinogenic drug, Tone. Tone makes androids feel a sense of humanity, like they are truly human, which is why most report feeling "enlightened" after taking it. The more connected they are to the human spirit, the closer they are to attaining death.
On the other hand, humans hallucinate vividly after taking Tone, usually imagining their innermost desires.

Like any typical transmigration novel, a person will die in the hands of death before being given a system with unique personality. Given task missions in order to return to the original world. The host would either complete the world in success or fail the missions given only to be transferred into a punishment world.
That was what Lucielle thought what would've happened if he encountered the situation after death but he was wrong, very...wrong. Who knew that Lucielle would be cursed once he died, lifeless on the ground?
No one did. Lucielle was just one of those unlucky individuals who shouldn't have been touched in the first place.

[Host, it has been confirmed, I asked the higher ups after rechecking your data base for any faults...It seems that you may have caught an unfortunate curse, to the point where Host cannot speak...Host, you are mute in this case]
