Aidan Caldwell, an average introverted fifteen year old new to the small, woodsy town of Northspire and its school, Northspire High School, is forced to undergo a life-changing experience when he is mauled by an unknown beast of the woods. He contracts an unheard-of disease, one that has abnormal and almost animalistic symptoms. One night, Aidan goes through a torturous amount of pain, before blacking out, and soon wakes up to his room looking ransacked. Desperate for some sort of answers to this paranormal incident, he decides to go to Northspire High's "weird kid," Scott Nym, who is obsessed with the supernatural and is rumoured to use witchcraft. With Scott's help, Aidan is able to determine what this strange disease is, but not before uncovering some interesting facts about Scott's family. Now; with the knowledge he's received, Aidan is determined to find a cure to his illness, even if it means hunting down the beast that caused it. WARNING: This book contains/will contain mild profanity, descriptions of anxiety and panic attacks, descriptions of animal death, and violence.
