Nothing

"Am I nothing to you?" The words slip from my lips like the tears in my eyes. I humorously look at the figure across from me, staring furiously with a deadened gaze. Those eyes haunt my dreams, torment my hope, and dash me in their depths. A dark void, that's what they are. Without light, a tangible abyss that causes only chaos even in the most empty. Unfathomable disappointment fills me as the silence stretches beyond my capacity of tolerance. "What did I even expect." I whisper dejectedly turning away from my face in the mirror. I am the monster that keeps me up at night. The one that cages me up and holes me away. The one that makes the walls close in and turns my closest friends into unfaceable enemies.
