He thought he knew what it felt like to make new friends; what it was like to truly care for someone, but meeting Eddie Diaz changes that entirely. Maddie Buckley is still trying to figure out how to tell her brother the whole story. The whole story about her and Doug, and the whole story about their childhood, all while slowly falling in love with the hot firefighter who lives the floor below them. -or- Buck and Maddie recently moved to LA to get away from their family (and Doug) in Pennsylvania. Eddie and Shannon have recently made a similar decision.

It's a mix of the original story and my own ideas, especially focusing on how Buck and Eddie's relationship develops along the way. I just feel like Buck deserves more attention because he's a complex character with a rich backstory. His challenges, fears, and moments of growth reveal so much about who he is and what drives him. By examining how Eddie influences Buck's thoughts and decisions, I hope to highlight their bond and how it impacts Buck's journey. I want to explore the little moments that shape their relationship and make it so meaningful, showing how they lean on each other through tough times.
