Labrea spent her whole life in the shadow of Snow White. The only person who ever gave her attention and cared about her was Regina. Then she betrayed Labrea by trying to kill Snow.

Snow wasnt a bad sister. She tried to include her younger sister but people could be cruel. Snow saw an opportunity to make her sister happy when they met David. Despite the obvious tension between the two Snow could see how perfect the two were for each other.

Things worked out between Labrea and David. They'd fallen in love with one another so whole heartedly they wouldn't leave the others side. Until Davids father threatened Labrea life and David and Snow had to betray her so she could be safe. Labrea was heartbroken by her sister and lovers betrayal.
She was planing on joining Regina and destroying David and Snow but rhen she fell pregnant and her entire being become solely around her little girl.

Rumplestiltskin told Snow and David that a child would be their salvation. Mistakenly they thought it was their child but Labrea knew it was her and David's hidden three year old daughter, Ruth. She didnt want her child to be taken advantage of by Regina so she helped Snow and david build the wardrobe to save their baby whilst also making sure that the second spot in the tree was reserved for Ruth secretly.

28 years later RJ and Emma come to Storybrooke where a little boy tells RJ she's the savior that the town needs.

Regina Mills: 34 years old. Teaches English and creative writing. She is very strict with her students and demands focus and order in her classes. She wants her students to excel. Regina has walls build around her heart, to protect herself from heartbreak and pain, which causes her to miss out on the things that doesn't cause pain, but has the potential to, like love and friendships. She has one friend, Kathryn, who's also a teacher. Regina's father died when she was young, and her mother is a cold-hearted woman. Regina knows that her mother only wants what's best for her, but her own idea of what's best isn't the same as her mother's. They don't have much contact anymore. Despite all, Regina has a big heart and feels things deeply. She wants to help her students the best she can. Emma Swan: 17 years old. About to start her senior year in high school. She was adopted by Mary Margaret Blanchard and David Nolan when she was 14. They started fostering her when she was 13. Before that, Emma was always bouncing from bad foster homes to group homes. Like Regina, Emma has wall around her heart because of her very turbulent childhood. She doesn't trust easily and has a hard time letting people in - parents as well as friends. She has two best friends - Belle and Ruby - who was very welcoming when Emma first came to Storybrooke. They introduced her to their friends, making sure she never felt alone. Emma is starting her senior year, and has to do her best to get good grades. You don't have to have watched Once Upon a Time to understand this book I do not own any characters.

When the Evil Queen casts the curse, they all end up in Storybrooke. To destroy David's happiness, she decided to get to one of the people he loves most, Summer. She gives her one of the worst punishments she could give anyone in Storybrooke. Regina makes Summer suffer by not taking her memories away and giving her fake memories. In Storybrooke, Summer is the daughter of Sheriff Graham. She remembers that she's a fairytale character and everyone else in the town don't remember that they're fairytale characters. Regina Mills had spent her whole life fighting Love, or Evil. When she was younger she fought for the love she had for Daniel, and tried her hardest to fight her mother's evil, ultimately ending in losing Daniel. For a while, she tried to fight the evil that began festering inside after the loss, and she lost that battle too. Then, for years she fought the love that Snow White and Prince Charming had for eachother, doing everything in her incredibly vast power to try and ruin it for them. Everything she did fought off love, deep down she felt unworthy of it, even from her own son who she truly loved but still kept at arm's length. When she met Emma Swan, it was different. Emma didn't even try to suck up to the mayor, she didn't care about Henry's stories of her evil-doing, though she did believe him. She wasn't scared of Regina, so she had no love to fight. It felt wrong, but for that very reason, Regina found herself with fondness for Emma. How odd, that the younger woman's lack of love caused the older woman to become fascinated. It felt wrong, and it felt scary, and Regina Mills didn't like feeling scared.
