A magical child, two parents who doN't know what to do with her, and a magical community deep in the national forest of Oregon. Greg and Amy Chambers are trying to raise their daughter Kendall but must leave their home in California when questions begin cropping up about the little girl's strange powers. They leave the desert for the green of Salem Oregon where Greg and Amy try to start over. But when Kendall openly displays magic they are found out by Morgana a witch from a secret community walled off from the world. Greg and Amy wanting nothing but protection for their daughter and explanations as to her gifts agree to visit Grove Haven. There discoveries however rock the foundations of their world.
