Jennie can't seem to forget Roseanne-her best friend Joy's Australian cousin, and the quiet neighbour who always forgets Jennie's name. Year after year, Jennie finds herself drawn to Roseanne, watching her from afar from the window as Roseanne reads on the terrace during vacations, whether in the sweltering summer or the biting winter.
For Roseanne, Seoul is a place she endures; she hates being there, barely talks to anyone apart from Joy, and rarely leaves the house. As Jennie wrestles with a strange, growing feeling she doesn't yet understand, Roseanne remains an enigma-a distant girl Jennie can't stop thinking about, even as she wonders if Roseanne ever thinks of her at all.
