Naval aviator Via "Frost" Carter is unexpectedly summoned back to Top Gun for a classified mission, only to discover Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw, a figure from her past, is part of it too. As they navigate through the challenges of their assignment, the mystery of their strained relationship unfolds. Will their unspoken history hinder them or will the looming possibility of not returning from the perilous assignment be the catalyst for them to bridge the gap and face the challenges together?
AUTHOR'S NOTE
- The story does follow the Top Gun: Maverick plot, but there will be a few different things (ie: in the movie character A says something, but in the story it's character B)
- I will write LCDR instead of writing Lieutenant Commander every single time
- There will be some language in this story
- No smut, but there are a couple of dirty comments/innuendos
- Both Bradley and Via are 35 yo
- I will not be describing every flight and battle scene in precise details

It soon became clear that the very mistake Maddlyn warned him he'd make came a lot sooner than he was prepared for.
