She whispered to the darkness and sang to the sun.

----------

If General Augustine Melgren was anything, it was unpredictable.

Nobody would have been surprised if he had stayed single forever. He had never shown interest in anything more than sex, but one day, word filtered back to King Tauri that his general had gotten married to a red-headed wisp of a girl from Tyrrendor.

The couple returned to the palace in Calldyr, only for the girl to fall pregnant shortly after.

Nobody expected the doting husband and father that emerged from the bitter, ice-cold man.

Most people thought he would be disappointed when the child was born a girl.

But everyone saw how much he adored her.

The small red-headed girl, who looked so much like her mother, had somehow managed to wrap the most powerful rider alive around her tiny fingers.

This is the story of Lyra Melgren.

Daughter of Augustine Melgren, the commanding General of all Navarre's forces, and Kenna Lewellen, a Tyrrish noble.

Ivan, one of the most loyal and trusted wards from the General Kirigan also known as Darkling, walked through the corridors of the Little Palace searching for the General. "General"he said entering the room where he was looking through a map"We found her" The General couldn't help but to put his head up with surprise. "Where?"he asked impaciente. "In the woods, in a camp of Fjerdans" he answered. "Why is she there?" he asked, confused. "We don't know, but one of our trackers was in the woods and saw the camp with the girl bound hand and foot with chains" he explained while they were walking to get prepared. The girl that they were talking about was a girl with long brown hair and natural waves, gray eyes, flat nose and freckles called Kaida Deveraux, and why? Well, she has been searching and seizure in Ravka for almost three years for killing almost 30 people, but, why this interest of General Kirigan in her, the thing is that the bodies were found with their eyes out, they took them off them self and when they asked to the people around the place they told them that a purple wave ran out of a girl and then they started to scream. In the whole history it hasn't been a Grisha with that kind of power, but what if that wasn't her only power. Based on the Shadow and Bone trilogy. It's my first time publishing a story in English, I hope I don't have many mistakes and if I have them I'm sorry. All rights reserved. The story does not belong to me, it belongs to the wonderful Leigh Bardugo. It only belongs to me Kaida and her past plus some characters I've added. I hope you enjoy it very much. Book One Celestial: (adj.) Of or from the sky or outside this world. A girl finds herself in the body of May Melgren, the daughter of General Augustine Melgren. She becomes aware of the fact that she is living in the Empyrean Series and still holds the previous May Melgren's memories. Having no choice but to enroll in the Riders Quadrant, she sets out to protect the characters she so cared for. ______ "What did you wish for?" I ask him. "Isn't the point of a wish to only be heard by the gods?" He counters, with a cunning smile. "I guess that's true, sorry, I just got curious." I look down at my feet as we enter inside the citadel and walk to the dorms. "It's fine, maybe after it comes true, I'll tell you." "Okay but that's a promise, right?" We reach the front of the door. "Sure." A small chuckle passes through his lips. ______ Disclaimer: The characters and plot belong to Rebecca Yarros. My original characters and scenes belong to me. Also this is my first story, so please be patient with me. Thank you!
