I watched as he got out of the bed putting his clothes back on. Sitting up I used the duvet to cover up my chest.

"Do you have to go already, can't you stay the night just this once?" He sighed giving me an annoyed look.

"No. Maria called before we went here so I have to go" Looking down I stood up pulling the duvet with me into the bathroom. I stepped into the shower washing my body, I could hear his footsteps outside before hearing the door slam shut. Feeling the tears well up I slid down the tile wall crying my eyes out.

This was the way it would always be, we would meet up at an old bar getting some drinks before going to a hotel or my apartment, and then he would always go back to her right afterwards. Letting out a choked sob I couldn't help but to hate myself. Why did I have to fall in love with a married man? Why couldn't I ever let go of him?
