With the remaining less than 7% of humanity facing a plethora of dangers born from the radiation, surviving even to the age of thirty has become a bitter fight. But this bitter fight is one that sixteen-year-old Flanna is desperate to win. During a scavenging outing beyond the protective walls of the Venn Fortress, Flanna has a surprising encounter with a one of humanity's last hopes. Now she is stuck with the Space Station denizen as they both work together to achieve their respective goals. As they continue to travel together, young Flanna finds the continued company of this stranger having an effect on both her thoughts and emotions. Why does she feel this way? What could their meeting possibly change in her life? This is a short story/novella I wrote for fun. Please give me your honest opinions on how it turned out.

(Unedited) "You weren't here! You haven't been in a long time so stop trying to act like you were." Willow grew up in a house with six brothers, one of them being her twin. She's grown up in a two bedroom apartment with an alcoholic mother who never managed to pay the bills on time or even buy food, so the eldest two brother's always took the responsibility, and once they left it was passed on to the next brother. But eventually all her big brother's had left without looking back and it was just her, her twin Wes and their mother whenever she was around. They got along just fine for the next two years, they somehow managed to get through the tough times together and they thought it would stay that way, the two of them against the world. Until their mother got pregnant and they had the responsibility of raising their baby sister at the age of 11. They pulled through and it was now the three of them against the world. They believe they can get through anything and they hope that's true when suddenly the brothers who disappeared years ago start to show up looking to mend their relationship with the twins who hold a deep hatred for their older brothers. Can they fix the broken relationship with the twins and build a new one with their new baby sister? Or is it too late? --- It's better than it sounds.

All contact was lost when the last human army was encircled and destroyed in the arctic, no human contacts have ever been reported since the last army. Earth was officially lost as the last army protected the evacuation into space, many years have passed since then, and the likeliness of any human resistants on Earth have long since faded. Humanity struggled to adapt and survive on the distant planet of Mars in our solar system, the cold red deserts have challegened humanity beyond its capacity to live and yet humanity prevailed by all means. The Mythical War planet was finally tamed as many colonies have grown to full fledged cities capable of providing humanity on Mars the means to survive.
