She finds out she is the only girl in the Glade, and each of the boys only remember their first names. The boys have been trying to get out of the Glade for 3 years. For a year and a half, the gladers carried out the same routine; work, explore the maze, welcome a greenie every month, and hope to escape. And, while their routine wasn't enjoyable or easy, it was predictable. But things drastically change when their next greenie is a girl.
