Once, there was a small village. The people that lived there were good, hard-working people, but...
Once, there was a wood. Now in this wood, there dwelt a monster. This monster lived by itself for a very, very long time. Then, it met the villagers.
Once, there was a village and a monster. The monster destroyed the village and murdered all of the innocent people inside of it.
Once, there was a hunter and a beast. And there was a girl named Pelgrin. Pelgrin had lived by herself for a very, very long time. And sometimes, when she was all alone, in the dark, there was a monster. And the monster was she.

The chapters in this book will be shorter due to it being from different perspectives of different characters. I may put in a longer chapter occasionally, but it will be rare. Thank you, and please enjoy Pelgrin.

Warning, this book was written for all ages, but there are certain scenes that may be disturbing to some. Featuring blood, a little gore, loss of family members, wild animals, natural disasters, hunting, chase scenes, drowning, and fear. I have tried to keep it family friendly but in some parts of the book it was necessary. Thanks
