The sun is blazing down and crisping my skin a rose red it's the reaping and I don't know what to
expect no one from district twelve has really returned except for Hamitch.
I look down at Prim and she gives me a look of desperation fear and lost all hope.
Then all of a sudden Effie's voice starts to shriek out who will be the female tribute I cross my
fingers and she says KATNISS EVERDEEN I let out a gasp of air It can't end this way this can't
happen to me I probably won't return and then what will become of my mum?
The blood is rushing to my head and I think I'm going to faint but as all of this is going through my
head Effie's says the male tribute and I hear Gales name being called out I look at him with desperation as
he comes on stage. I fell like my life was never worth living for if it was all going to end like this is this how it will
really end? But I know I can't turn the clocks around I get escorted to a locked room and then
I burst out with tears and fall to the ground.

"Look, it's your favorite color." I point at the light orange of the sunset. I hear a faint rustling, and I turn over to see Peeta looking at me instead of the sky. "You remembered," he whispers. "I remember everything about you," I reply, repeating his words to me. I expect to regret my honesty, feeling like I've shared too much. But I feel like I haven't shared enough. I want to tell him everything about himself, to prove just how much I remember. But I don't. We just watch each other until the orange fades into dusky blue. ➳➳➳ In the years following the dismantling of the Hunger Games, Katniss rekindles the fire between her and Peeta. Over time, they grow back together, relearning to love every part of each other. Moving on from the war isn't easy, especially when Katniss still revisits her greatest fears and worst memories every night. But Peeta is always there, keeping the nightmares away, keeping her safe. Every one know the story of how my older sister, Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire, and her fellow tribute, Peeta Mellark, won The Hunger Games.
