As the charot rides down the long road I feel the wind blows my hair everywhere. There was a reason why my hair was down. I feel the wind take the cloth on my shoulders up and I remember what Silvia said, "Make it look like waves." I grab hold of the sides and hold it up. I look back at the cape and it looks exactly like waves. I hear cheers and loud roars as I notice that all the screens are on me. I put my head back and feel the wind on my face. My district partner looks at me in awe but I just feel free. Or as free as I can be in this situation.

Synopsis:
District 4 is a career district, but that doesn't mean there are fighters out there just randomly. But none would imagine a girl like Delaney Gallagher, a girl from a respected surfing family, would be one. The Gallaghers are known far and wide as a surfing family, not as a fighting one. But when their youngest daughter gets reaped, they have to reveal their secrets. For the Gallagher's children aren't only talented surfers, but they're trained killing machines.
