"I know what I have to do." Marinette spoke, her voice soft as she slowly removed her earrings.
Tikki's eyes widened. "Marinette, wait, what are you talking about?"
She hovered in front of her chosen's face, trying to force eye contact.
Marinette just smiled. "Tikki, I renounce you."
"Marinette-!" Tikki screeched, but in an instant was sucked into the earrings, leaving Marinette completely alone.
"I'm sorry." She whispered, carefully setting the magical earrings in their box.
Lila successfully turned everyone against Marinette, just like she promised she would two years ago.
When it all becomes too much to handle, Marinette finds a solution, one that will make everyone happy, right?

Ever sense chat blanc was a thing Marinette didn't know what a good nights rest was anymore. Chat blanc haunted her though day and night. She was barely living anymore. It didn't help her friends were starting to notice. She couldn't tell any of them though, not this anyway. What would she do though when her partner shows up to help her? See the worry in his eyes? Marinette took a deep breath as if she was taking her final if she was getting ready to do the most disturbing thing of her life. Well, she sort of was. Lately, she had been following Adrien and Lila after hearing the rumour of them being together. Marinette didn't believe it, and no matter how stalkerish that sounded, she still wanted to find out herself. She wanted to see it with her own two eyes. Finally, she leaned over and peeked at the corner, where Adrien and Lila were sitting on a bench. Marinette could feel her eyes widening when she saw both lips pressed against each other's, both of them engaged in a kiss, which shattered Marinette's heart. She had hoped that her crush wasn't dating another girl, but here she was, seeing them kiss with her own two eyes. The situation made her upset, but her stomach also hurt from the anger she was feeling. She clenched onto her stomach and willed herself not to cry, but instead, her legs gave way and she landed on her knees, more unsettling anger rushing through her body like large waves. This was too much to handle. As tears escaped from her eyes, Marinette didn't notice the small dark butterfly fluttering towards her. Instead, she covered her face and forced herself not to scream, tried to get up from her knees and walk away, pretending she hadn't seen anything. But it wasn't easy, and when she finally looked up to see the Akuma, it was already too late. One of Marinette's rules had always been not letting Hawk Moth control her, but that all changes when Marinette catches her crush kissing a girl, his new girlfriend. Marinette feels shattered by the sight and wasn't strong enough to control her anger.
