Vivienne froze the moment his scent hit her-woodsy, dark, and undeniably magnetic. She didn't know who he was, but every nerve in her body responded to his presence. Her eyes found him across the room, and for a brief, dizzying second, the world narrowed to just him.

He took a step forward, eyes never leaving her. "You feel it, don't you?" his voice was low, calm, but full of knowing.

Vivienne stiffened, glaring at him, trying to mask the confusion and heat rising in her chest. "Feel what?" she snapped, her voice edged with irritation she couldn't understand.

Alexander's lips curved into a slow, knowing smile, his eyes gleaming with something dangerous and thrilling. "That you're mine."
