[𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐃] The goddess of the night brought the twins, Akrasia and Nikholai, into the world through her union with a mortal man named Kyrios Argus Schadenfreude, whose life was taken by Khaos soon after the twins turned the age of seven, thus making them the only surviving members of the Schadenfreude Lineage, one of the founding families in Skíathos Magnisia, Greece.
In their early lives, their father used to tell them stories about their mother being the primordial goddess of the night; hence, it was not always unbeknownst to them that they were direct descendants of Nyx, but it took them some time to grasp the truth. At first, they thought those tales were just their father's way of filling the void left by the absence of their "real" mother. But later on, they unconsciously unveiled the powers that were bestowed upon them.
Finally believing that they are indeed demi-deities, they sought guidance which led them to a community that sheltered children of all greek gods. However, as they were the first and only children of the night, the twins were treated as outcasts and so they fled.
In pursuit of companions, they found themselves in the House of Night, a sanctuary for the children of the night, under the care of High Priestess Evanora, who at that time was the only one whom the goddess blessed her presence to, and eventually to everyone she marked, including Nikholai, but somehow not Akrasia.
Driven by her yearning to be worthy of her mother's presence, Akrasia resorted to breaking her oath, which led to her ultimate downfall.
