They say war takes away tiny pieces of you that you can never hope to recover. The blood, the noise, the gunshots. The smell of wet mud and fear of death all around seeps into you. It changes you.

But that didn't scare my brother Remy. He wanted to be a hero, and who was I to stop him?

I never wanted to go to war, but I wasn't about to let my twin endanger himself without me around to save him.
