Lydia Lakshmi (Lucy Liu) works late at a local museum, her day starts with the usual Cafe on Corner Street in Paris.. but things take a turn; When leaving work she finds a letter that her only kin passed away.  
  She suspects foul play but no one will be believe her, she debates going back to China to collect her kin's belongings and do a little snooping. Back in Paris she meets a young detective who is determined to find what happened to Ladybugs kin and is willing to travel to China with her to find justice.
