July 20th, 2028 Lyla is handed a letter while sitting in class, stamped with a giant eagle signaling the letter comes from the government "I suggest packing up your things and heading to the office Lyla" Mrs. Collin whispers to me.
" Why? it's just a letter, One that I can read at the end of school on my way to the shelter." I state quietly
" Pack your stuff Miss Summers. This is not up for discussion" Mrs. Collin states with a bit of aggression hidden behind that crooked smile of hers. Rolling my eyes, I start taking all the papers and books off my desk shoving them in my bag without a care of ripping paper.
Sighing very heavily I sling my bag over my should and make my way towards the door.
Walking down the hallway I start to worry about what could be happening and why it's such a big deal that i got a letter from the government. 'I mean it's probably just stating that i'm now 18 and have no assets to my name since I was abandoned at age 5'
Once I get to the office door I take a deep breath releasing any anxiety I may have felt, pushing the door open I'm met with four very large men, two of them are wearing lab coats while the other two are dressed in attire similar to club bouncers

"You dropped this." I heard a husky voice say. I turned around to look at what I dropped and realized it was my schedule. I gasped. Damn, I would have been fucked if I'd lost it. I guess I didn't put it in my bag... I looked up to thank him, but ended up not being able to find my voice. He's really attractive. Drop dead gorgeous attractive. Hot. He has brown hair that is spiked up in a messy way and shiny chocolate brown eyes that are hard not to stare at.
