All seems fine until the Rescue Bots are unable to transform out of their holoform into their bot form, and it's up to BlueBand to figure out a way to undo it. While crossing into dangerous boundaries to find new information, something goes wrong, something very wrong. Adopting a helpless, abandoned sparkling doesn't seem so complicated at first, but this one happens to have a dangerous secret, one none of them know. And when that secret casts over the team in a dark shadow with questionable motives and a mysterious links to her past, Quickshadow has to make one of the most difficult choices in her functioning: give up her one chance to save someone she thought she'd lost, or risk everything to protect her new-found family.
