781 has spent her entire life confined in a laboratory, raised and studied by scientists who see her as nothing more than a test subject. She knows nothing of the outside world or the indigenous Na'vi people who inhabit the lush moon of Pandora.
One day, 781 manages to escape the confines of the lab and finds herself in the heart of the Omatikaya clan's territory. Terrified but determined, she hides among the towering trees and alien flora, trying to evade detection.
As a certain boy spends more time with 781, he begins to develop feelings for her. He is captivated by her innocence and wonder at the natural world around her. 781, in turn, finds herself drawn to his kindness and the freedom of life in the clan.
But their budding romance faces many challenges. The human scientists are determined to recapture their test subject. 781 must decide whether to return to the only life she has ever known, or embrace the beauty of Pandora even if it means risking everything.
