After Haley's death, Aaron believed he was never supposed to find love again. Finding and losing Beth seemed to only prove that theory.
Caitlin had given up on the idea of love before it ever had a chance to prove itself to her. Her long list of situationships that never became more proved that theory.
But when Cait's best friend joins the BAU, and an opportune meeting takes place during an inter-unit case, they both feel the foundations of their own beliefs shift.
Cait starts to think that maybe just because she came from a broken family, doesn't mean that she can't find her own whole one. And Aaron starts to think that maybe, just maybe, there might be something left in him to give to someone else.
