Once every year, the city is gripped by terror as a malevolent shadow descends upon it, tearing through the streets with unrelenting fury. Death is its companion, destruction its signature. Generations have fallen to its wrath, but the people are no longer content to merely endure. To counter the onslaught, they establish the "Dark Soldiers," a revolutionary force of resilience and defiance. These warriors undergo gruelling training, their resolve forged in the fires of loss and their spirits hardened by the weight of their people's hopes. In the face of their greatest fear, they vow to stand firm, fighting not just for survival but for the soul of their city. A rule was built, teenagers who'll turn 18 must study at the Darkling University, a school where they will learn how to fight, to protect, to use their mind, and most importantly, to survive. Self determined, Kara, has come to her destiny the moment she turns 18, now in school, she must overcome brutal trials that test her strength and resilience, each bringing her closer to becoming the fierce protector her people need. Through these challenges, she will unlock her true potential and gain the power to defend her people from the savage beasts threatening their extinction. But the university was never her refuge, not when a man more sinister than the Raiders himself became her greatest enemy-and the dark saviour who would claim her heart.
