louis tomlinson and harry styles have a long history of friendship, lust and love. however, they can never be. and so, harry, a famous author, imparts louis in every single story he writes. louis becomes a symbol in harry's fanbase as that recurring motif of blue eyes and cheekbones. whilst apart, harry and louis send an endless stream of letters to the other, asking for help, reassurance and love. this is a story of pure, infinite, and innocent love showcasing that 'love is only for the brave'. please note that every character in this story (minus the 1d boys) is purely fictional, including harry and louis' family members. also note that there will be minimal smut as I don't really feel that comfortable with writing it - that doesn't mean there will be none, just very little. if you see any grammatical/spelling errors please do tell me. with everything being said, please enjoy the story and interpret everything as you wish, this book is your oyster!! if anyone is up to making a book cover for me i would be highly appreciative as the current one is (as you can tell) questionable. pm if you're up to it :)

Harry Styles has always been invisible or at least, that's how it feels at Harrington High. Bullied, bruised, and mostly alone, he keeps his head down and survives one day at a time. Louis Tomlinson, on the other hand, is loud, feared, and always surrounded by a crowd. He's the boy everyone wants and the one Harry can't stop thinking about, no matter how many times Louis shoves him into lockers or spits cruel words in his direction. They've "hated" each other for years. But everything starts to shift the night of a party, when Harry finds Louis drunk, vulnerable... and something breaks open. What follows is a slow, chaotic unraveling of secrets, shame, violence, and the kind of longing that aches. As tension simmers beneath cruel words and stolen glances, they're thrown together again and again forced into project partnerships, trapped in a one bed hotel room, cornered by rumors, and torn apart by jealousy and heartbreak. But love doesn't always arrive gently. Sometimes it shows up as a fight, a bruise, a kiss in the dark. This is the story of how two broken boys tried to hate each other... and failed.
