The story is set in the small farm town of Gitir, nestled in the Larrent Empire in the year 340. Home to about 1000 people, Gitir is surrounded by fertile fields and rolling hills. The town thrives on agriculture, and despite recent challenges due to the changing policies of the Larrent Empire, the community remains resilient and united.
The Larrent Empire, facing internal turmoil after the assassination of King Linus, creates an opportunity for change. Lonna grapples with doubts about her ability to ensure Lorren's safety and the feasibility of escaping the farm town. She works overtime on the farm, caught in an internal conflict between the desire for freedom and the responsibility of being Lorren's protector.
