Tessa Ryder had a horrible introduction to life. With her parents murdered while she was only five years old, she struggles to contain the normality of a regular adult. She tries hard with weekly trips to therapy, to rid her obsession of killing Kade members as revenge. On her journey of rehabilitation, she meets Jake Beckham, the only person of the outside world who accepts her, even though she battles with her inner demons on a daily basis. Tessa is reluctant to let Jake inside her life, fearing that he'll break her heart once he discovers about her hobbies. However, Jake is determined to get Tessa to trust him, as he wants a relationship with her. But what Tessa doesn't know is that Jake has a few demons and secrets of his own that may ruin their chances of love forever.
