In a twist of fate and magic gone awry, Hermione Granger and Belle wake up to find themselves in each other's shoes-literally.

Hermione opens her eyes to the lavish yet eerie surroundings of the Beast's castle, bewildered to be greeted by talking household objects. Without her wand or knowledge of the arcane laws of this world, she must rely on her wit to decipher the Beast's mysterious curse. But as she devises a plan she's disrupted by a particular hunter named Gaston.

Meanwhile, Belle wakes up in the bustling Gryffindor Common Room, surrounded by spellbooks and the lively chatter of young wizards. In the heart of Hogwarts, she's suddenly a student of magic, trying to fit in while facing skeptical stares from students like Draco Malfoy. Though she finds him fascinating and uncomfortably handsome, she can't shake the feeling that he's onto her secret. Even more puzzling, Belle discovers she has already a boyfriend in the form of the quirky and affable Ron Weasley. Belle is excited about the prospect of learning magic but isn't sure what to do in the romance department.
