Loving the Villain

Christopher knew he was adopted. He was blissfully unaware of any other life he could have had, as he was raised by loving parents who always made him feel like he belonged. His mother, Kate Mendes, and his father, James Mendes, worked for the Legion, an agency for specially enhanced individuals with incredible abilities; instilling in him a deep sense of justice and the importance of serving and protecting others.
But everything changed when a new criminal started stirring up trouble in their city. The mysterious villain, known only as The Hyacinth, was cunning and elusive, leaving the police department baffled. One night, Christopher found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, caught in the crossfire between The Hyacinth and the Faction known as the Arcane. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, The Hyacinth swooped in and saved Christopher's life... on more than one occasion

At first, Christopher was terrified of The Hyacinth. He had always been taught to fear criminals, to see them as the enemy. But as he spent more time with The Hyacinth, he began to see a different side of him. Christopher found himself opening up to The Hyacinth in ways he never had before.
As their friendship blossomed, Christopher realized that The Hyacinth was not the monster the media made him out to be. He was a complex and multi-faceted individual, with his own demons to battle. The more time they spent together, the more Christopher found himself drawn to The Hyacinth, despite knowing that it was dangerous to be associated with a criminal.
And while The Hyacinth denied all emotions and distractions, he also could not seem to stay away from the boy. His plans to shut the boy out and avoid him by any means necessary had failed. He often found himself on the roof of his apartment building, watching the stars and talking for hours, or watching him from a distance, and letting his own curiosity for the boy get the best of him.
