"Is this how you're going to behave with your professor, like a spoiled brat?" Professor Kim asked, his voice firm but controlled. I didn't respond, and instead, started walking out of his office. But his next words stopped me in my tracks.
"Jung-Yn, stop!" he called out, his anger palpable.
I felt his footsteps getting closer, and then he gently took my hands in his, his touch delicate, as if handling fragile glass. "Whatever you think, Professor Kim, but next time, please think before touching me. I don't like it when someone touches me without my permission. Your touch makes me feel like I need to wash away the feeling with poison." I said.
He forcefully grabbed my hands and pinned them behind my back, pressing me against the door. "Does my touch make you feel disgusting? Do you hate me so much that you can't stand the thought of me touching you?" He said
I laughed bitterly. "Hate is too weak a word to describe how much I despise you. That hatred will consume itself."
He leaned in, his voice low and husky. "If you feel that way, then I promise I'll never let anyone else touch you. If my touch disgusts you so much that you want to erase it with poison, then I'll be that poison, forever coursing through your veins."

❝ Teacher and student... maybe that's all we were ever destined to be. ❞
This is a story following two people, with different perspectives and different ambitions, who managed to find love where they never searched before.
In this world filled with complications, one mere incident turned your life into a simple picture.
As you went on to fight all battles internally- anxiety, depression, guilt, and regret.. a significant yet foreign figure became the one reason why you finally came to realize your true epitome, the purpose of your life. It was unexpected, unforeseen in some ways. Because of all people, that person just so happened to be the strict professor at your college who had been no one to you but a complete stranger.
Strangers. So, what changed that?
Right love at the wrong time. Perhaps if society was different, perhaps if had you been perfect strangers. Then maybe, just maybe... you could have been granted the privilege of falling in love.
But before that, you needed a reason to live first.
