In the future, in 3028 a Museum was established. The Museum Of Odd Cases. It displays the statues of the victims of odd and unsolved cases of the past. A unique feature of this museum is that it can display a hologram of a small glimpse of the victims last moments.
Recently there had been reports of staffs seeing strange a 'woman' at midnight. Perhaps an entity wanting to seek help?
James, Jake and Emily are on a mission to find about these sightings and report it back to the headquarters.
Will they find out what's actually happening within the Museum walls? Will they solve the decades old case?

Midnight in Duskwood
After her mother passed away a week later, MC returned to her home and left the hectic city life. She discovered an old hand phone inside her mother's desk while cleaning the house, but it was empty. She was suddenly interrupted by a call on that hand phone. Thomas asked her if she knew where Hannah, his girlfriend, was since he had gotten a message from her with a phone number. She has been joined to a group chat with Hannah's friends and family while she is still perplexed. After all the commotion from the group chat, a hacker by the name of Jake got in touch with her. He asks for MC's assistance in finding Hannah, and MC must comply because she has no other option. The more information the MC learned about Hannah and the others while looking for clues, Jake and MC thought one of Hannah's friends was responsible for Hannah's disappearance. Then, MC learned about the man without a face, legendary Duskwood creature; he leaves a raven's mark on the doors of the worst sinners. Each year, on the night of the first new moon, he returns to the houses he has marked, drags anybody inside-guilty or not-out into the forest, never to be seen again. MC initially refused to believe in paranormal phenomena, but as time went on, inexplicable catastrophes began to occur. The faceless individual attacked Jessy, threatened Cleo's mother in a letter, and painted a red raven symbol on Richy's garage. Jake and MC continue their investigation into Hannah's disappearance because it appears that no harm has been done until Richy was attacked by the man without a face in the woods and was bleeding. What will MC do after that? Loosely based on the folklore of seductive water sprites, particularly the Vila (a Central European version of Rusalka). Written for @AfterDark's "Mirror, Mirror" contest (Mar 2020) -'Mysterious Ways'. A young woman wakes in the wrong version of her bedroom. Or is it so wrong after all? ('You wake in a strange place, possibly as someone else.') -'The Listeners'. Morial and her fellow Spirit Listeners work hard to maintain the balance between nature and mortals; until, one Summer, Morial is accused of upsetting that balance herself. ("I know what you did last summer". The prompt features as paragraph nine in my story.) -'Between the (Spread)Sheets'. An accountant and a trader play cat-and-mouse in a City firm. The Gentleman Killer
INTRODUCTION: Missing person reports were just piling up one after another these days. But none of the victims were found alive. After the killer got what he wanted from victim's family, the next day person would be found dead. People are starting to move out from the city. It's gotten worse as hours passed. Phones are ringing at the police stations and 911 calls are getting more and more desperate. Not many things were found out about this town's killer. But, the way people are describing him- yes him- shows that they all see him as an old man called the Gentleman. He got this name from the way he puts his deceased victims bodies. Lying on their back, carefully placed, hair brushed and clean, face without any makeup, but covered with black veil, white nightie with small bouquet in their arms that are placed on their chest. Beautifully horrific sight if you ask me. They all appeared to be women in their early or mid 20s, brunettes with blue eyes, skinny and average height. The Gentleman is described as someone in his late 30s or early 40s, is into art, but mostly sculptures as he shows by placing his victims in recognizable positions. On most of dead women's necks could be seen small tattoos that were assotiated with life and death- butterfly with its wings painted like skull. That was all that we knew of the Gentleman until something happened few days ago...Concluida
