Murder Drones: Firewall (Chapter 1)
Year 3071. Exoplanet Steel-1, the only planet in the system along with it's moon, was once a site for mass drone production factory called "Chimera's Dawn" by the JC Jenson company, later modified into a secret research facility, renamed to "Chimera's Fall", to investigate what caused the destruction of Earth and reason behind drones turning against humanity. Few years after the events on the Earth, something known as "The Absolute Solver" created a deadly energy shockwave on Steel-1, resulted in planet's decaying state, annihilated all humans, destroyed most of the machinery, and deactivated or damaged most of the drones on the planet. The surviving worker drones have established a survival base in an abandoned Communications and Surveillance Center called the "Steel Eye". The story begins with an experimental prototype drone called Zero from the "Project Firewall" and his friend, Millie, a maintenance drone who survived the shockwave, managed to reactivate themselves, confirm past events thanks to the large amount of data stored in the facility, and ultimately decided to relocate from the destroyed facility in order to search for other survivors, but before that there is one more objective left, which is to find the cause of the recent appearance of a strange energy reading in the containment cell... https://youtu.be/-yV_kv1P3co ^ Link to Main Theme of the Story :D This is my first fanfiction, my first real fanmade (focused on story and characters, not shipping, but expect a romance story arc there) story and first time doing something publicly, so consider me a noob. A group of people wake up in a freezing tundra covered in the ruins of society and skeletons, an ominous planet in the sky, and a threatening large tower in the distance. A majority of the newcomers are soldiers, a good chunk of it from the 1940's, and a fraction of that group was on the wrong side of the conflict. Just as things reach a boiling point, a silhoutte appears in the sky and things quickly take a turn towards a different direction. Hi! As you figured from the above text wall and the tags, the story really doesnt really fit the title (I am good at coming up with cool names, problem comes in when i have to decide what to put the name on), but that probs won't matter to most people. Set just before (or otherwise specified) the series, a drone named Chris Walkman grow curious of how it looks outside the city in which oil-thirsty disassembly drones prey on the worker drones. But how will he see outside of the city when dangers are everywhere, even in places he thinks are secure ? And more importantly, is he ready to make the hard choices that is to leave everything - his shelter, his friends and only family - behind ? But the worst is to come, as the drone will have to learn awful truths, informations that will change his life forever...
The Last Alive: Alpha-Four
"Contact! Four o' clock!" I aimed my rifle, only to see the Disassembly Drone dive down with impossible speed. "RAH!" "Johnny!" "Shit! Open fire!" I unloaded into the bastard tearing one of my teammates open, oil spilling onto the ground. I didn't even have to run forward to know my friend was dead; His head was four feet away from the rest of his body. "C'mon! We gotta move!" I quickly ran with one of the last alive from Alpha Team, just as another Disassembly Drone grabbed his leg, dragging him screaming into a vent. I grabbed his arm, trying to save him. He looked up at me, half his body already in the vent. "It's okay." He told me, an odd calm in his voice, and he unpinned a grenade, just as he was fully dragged into the vent, a delayed explosion blasting smoke out of the vent. I quickly ran on, bursting through the exit door, sirens and alarms blaring. I suddenly felt the ground shudder, and looked up, just in time to see a massive explosion from afar, a massive shockwave quickly approaching. I dove behind a wrecked humvee, bracing for the blast. N learns of the companies lies, and defects alongside V joining Uzi and other characters along the way to survive the purge of the company. --- This is a murder drones AU I made out of boredom focusing on survival and random scifi non-sense.
