"My anticipation turned to apprehension as I stood at the door of my parents house. I had heard about Alex, my brother's friend, but I never expected the venomous glare that greeted me as the door creaked open
"Who's this?" Alex's voice was cold, his eyes piercing through me as if I were an unwelcome intruder. my heart sank, but I managed to muster a weak smile. "I'm Mia, Jack's sister," I replied, my voice trembling slightly.
Alex's response was a dismissive grunt as he turned away, leaving me to follow him awkwardly into the living room. Jack shot her an apologetic glance, but Mia could already feel the tension thickening the air."

"BUT NO YOU HAD TO RUIN EVERYTHING! DIDN'T YOU!!! YOU BITCH!! I'LL KILL YOU!!" He bellows and throws her to the ground, hard. "Boss she needs our help!" Alex says from the back seat, but before I can pry my eyes away from them and remove my death grip off the steering wheel to open my door I hear him scream at her again "FUCK OFF HOME!! NOWWW! BEFORE I KILL YOU!!" In the blink of an eye she gets up and takes off running. Running his hand through his hair and cursing he strides across the parking lot and back to the bar, we watch him as he disappears inside. "Do you think she's ok? It looked like he really hurt her boss" donnys says quietly, almost at a whisper towards the end. "Let's find out" I grit out as I start the car and peel off out the parking lot to find her, she couldn't have gone far.Complete
