This Prequel / pre series fic will feature Kayla's life in Louisiana leading up to the brutal murder of her dad and brother. Struggling with grief and an unsupportive mother, she seeks solace in the bottom of a bottle. Vulnerable and alone, she is swept up into the chaos and unpredictability of twin werewolves and their violent pack. Before long she finds herself trapped - wanting to leave but also, too addicted to the danger to bother trying - travelling around America on the back of a motorcycle with her hot tempered boyfriend, indulging in all the bad bits that life had to offer. Hurtling headfirst towards tragedy and an early grave... all until the results of one cheap drugstore test in a crappy motel bathroom. Now she had no choice but to try... try and get back on the straight and narrow, despite the repeated blows to her sanity and her sobriety.
