Just when they thought they got through Fifth Year relatively unscathed, Clara Selwyn and Ominis Gaunt lost Sebastian Sallow to Azkaban in a blindsided attack from the Ministry just before summer. What was supposed to be an interview for the Daily Prophet turned into an ambush of Legilimens that wouldn't back down until they had the answers they needed. 

Instead of spending the summer healing like they had planned, Clara and Ominis set forward a plan to acquit Sebastian of his charges, but when they were banned from the trial, they had nothing left to do but return to life and Hogwarts as if they didn't lose a piece of themselves. Sixth Year was hard for any student. It was even harder for the two of them as they learned to navigate life under new circumstances.
