Here in the depths of the rainforest in South America the Emaro people live. The Emaro people are a fairly unheard of group of people. They have a very different culture and live a very different way of life. They wear little clothing and are in-tune with the creatures that live among them. They feast on the plants and fruits of the land and give back what they take through worship and prayer. They make their homes of the kapok trees that live there. The Emaro people live a simple yet delicate life. I would know, I grew up here as the tribe leaders daughter. My name is Aster, I was named after one of the flowers that grows throughout these forests. I am twelve years old and am almost considered a woman. When that happens it will be time for me to choose the next tribe leader that will stand by me and carry on the Emaro name. I am scared to choose my partner, there is no one i am fond enough to stand by for the rest of forever. There is very few to pick from and we are not suppose to stand with others outside the tribe. What will i do when it comes time to choose. The only man I know would be good enough to help me lead the tribe is Nacut from the Inslinick tribe across river. Nacot, the man I was forbidden to see by my mother, the tribe leader. Nacut was one of the two sons of the Inslinick tribe leader. She had had twins and the tribe healer had been banished so no one knows who was born first. Their tribe had been getting smaller ever since the fire had taken over on the other side of the river. Many had died and more were injured beyond healing. They were almost gone, only about twenty-five people were left. All Rights Reserved
