You're a biological weapon, a project made by G.U.N. 19 years ago because of G.U.N.'s fear of Gerald Robotinik's project, more specifically the Ultimate Life Form, Shadow The Hedgehog. G.U.N. never trusted the scientist fully and created you to make sure that Shadow wouldn't just destroy the world one day.
