A world in which magic flows through blood, passed down through families descending from The Six, hundreds of thousands of years ago. Now The Blessed are few and far between, magic fading and thinning with every generation that comes and goes- and safety for them is just as much of a rarity. There are communities spread across the world, two or three in every country, a safe haven of sorts for The Blessed, protected by ancient magic in place for generations. Impenetrable, most would think. And it was. For a very, very long time. Until one day, it wasn't.
