There is a lot of pressure when your father who is a former Olympian and gold medalist names you Olympia and add in the fact that I'm an only child, isn't great. I was surprised when he moved us to the USA, since in the past he has always complaining about how he never wants to go back there. Here I am though, the new kid on the block, I don't know if I can still say that since I've been here for a year now and I just want to get through year 12 like how i did for junior year... invisibly

An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. Richard's journey from adolescents to adulthood went horribly off track the year his older brother was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Richard was only in the eighth grade. Brother's Keeper tells the story of young Richard's inability to deal with losing his older brother to a mental illness, while at the same time struggling to handle the other obstacles in his own life. With his parents focused on his older brother's mental illness, Richard is forced to grow up fast and deal with the issues in his life all on his own.
