This is a story based on all of the events of black americans trying to achieve full freedom from segregation. I have written it as a base of revision as its a unique way to remember and think about it.

All of the events are to the precise date. This story is Facts meet Fiction.
Its about One family throughout 4 generations and how they have been affected by the fight to freedom and the role they played.
It starts out with the Great Grandmother in the year 1868 and ends with the one "writing" the story.
It should be heart felt and powerful with the hardships they have to face, you can engage in a story whilst learning something new or simply revising.
Preview:
Let me tell you a little bit about my peoples past, and i do not mean slavery no i mean the time after slavery was abolished. The idea was to reconstruct America to make it a better place for all but as my dear old momma always told me that it was a time of dreams, all the hopes that they had wouldn't amount to anything. When i was young she use to tell me of the things her Grandmother my Great Grandmother told her that life was not much better for either of them, but as long as they had hope that one day things would get better and was wary of the dangers that were around in their society then those people could never break their spirit.
My Great grandmother was twenty seven when the first constitutional amendment was passed that being the Fourteenth Amendment in 1868 which had finally given citizenship rights to all born in the United States, which she was although see had been treated like she was from another country she was born on American soil and this amendment was an attempt to guarantee the rights of those who had been slaves, but that did not exactly work out for them did it?
