War General's Obsession

BOOK 1| Dark Fantasy Series

"Are you my mate?", I ask the man who is standing in front of him, he is the most beautiful man I have ever seen but he is scary and big too, I can only reach till his torso.

"Yes", I flinch as I hear his stern, ominous tone. I see a tiny amusement linger on his breathtakingly lovely eyes, most likely as a result of my abrupt behavior.

I bite my bottom lip and mutter, quite shyly, "You're very handsome".

I sneak a glimpse of him through my eyelashes and notice that he has now a darkened countenance with emotions I can't comprehend. My bare waist is abruptly touched by a rough palm, and then I'm pulled off the ground and brought face to face with my new found mate. I face him in amazement, but as soon as I see how close his face is to mine and his warm breaths fanning my face, I become quite shy and droop my head to conceal my scarlet cheeks from my mate.

His warm breaths suddenly land on my right ear, causing me to feel something I've never felt before, I automatically closed my eyes and fiercely clutched his shirt under my palms.

"And you're extremely beautiful my mate", his warm breaths enters my ears and a very unknown voice left my mouth. His hold on my waist suddenly become tight.

Gulping my saliva down, slowly I again look at him and with a courage I ask him, " will you love me?". Don't know what happens to him but he starts intensely looking at me and my chest movements become erratic.

Did I ask a wrong question?

Did I hurt my mate? Will he leave me now?

The thoughts bring tears to my eyes, I find his face moving closer to me and just when his nose brushes against mine, he mumbles something to me which made my heart burst in happiness.

"I will die for you".
