Before Us

All her life Anya only fears three things: Her parents' hometown, her past, and ghosts. Too bad for her, the only way to clear her name is to go back to her mother's hometown and confront her past and ghosts personified by Joaquin and his sister Felicity, the Diangelos, one of the prominent families in the south region.

The ghosts who kept haunting her about the past mistakes she made, the ghosts that she wronged. Walking to the same hometown that she swore never to walk again, she realized that maybe, just maybe she could finally be free from her past and build a brighter path ahead. But as she slowly regained her name, her dignity, and her family's trust it all crumbled on one dark night when the colors of the decaying mansion grew colder and darker, like the ghost whispering to her- cradling her all night long. The literal ghost whom everyone taught cursed Joaquin and his family. But that night the whispers of that ghost became clear to her. It's desperate warning of the danger the Diangelos might bring to her, and now it's too late.
