Isabella arrived at Oakhill High hoping for a fresh start. As the heiress of a notorious family, she'd buried her true identity behind a carefully crafted "normal girl" disguise. Chloe kept her head down, a quiet bookworm with secrets of her own. But when the firing begins-sharply precise, frighteningly confident-neither is safe. In the moments that follow, Isabella and Chloe lock eyes across the library. Together they slip into silent shadows: flitting down service stairwells, crawling through dusty maintenance tunnels, clinging to every scrap of intelligence they can find. Each borrowed corridor reveals more than just a path to safety-it unmasks a hidden battlefield of family rivalries and blood-oaths, tracing back generations and pointing squarely at one merciless hand. Outside the school's ornate gates, Duke Chase, once Isabella's childhood friend, steps from the woods. He has secrets of his own knowledge of the underworld that has stalked Isabella's father for years. As the three of them join forces, every trusted face becomes suspect, and every corridor conceals another threat. Their quarry is no random madman but the latest striker in a feud of millionaires and mob enforcers-a vendetta they've just been dragged into. Night falls, and the school's manicured lawns become a war zone. Isabella, Chloe, and Duke fight for every breath, forging weaponry from broken glass and sharpened brooms, decoding hidden messages in whispered threats, and peeling back the layers of a glittering façade that was built on violence. With each narrow escape, they edge closer to the truth-and to a confrontation that will expose the sinister heart beating at Oakhill's core. Ahead lies a reckoning: a showdown where privilege will not protect them and holds money no power against a bullet or a broken promise. In end the, their survival depends on how far they're willing to go-and whom they're willing to trust-when the final shot rings out.

This is a #TeenFictionAnotherYearShortStory entry. --- Believe me, when adulting takes place, you forget your naïve little side instantly and are ready to fit yourself in the big boots. But let's say, it's too soon for Olivia Dee. For her, graduation was a ceremony, a consummation of all the misery and guilt she had had to bear, of which none whispered-and she finally had the chance to leave it all behind. But the world's twisted, right? What if...I say, she has to relive all her past memories--that nasty first kiss, to be labelled a troublemaker, to be accused of things she could never imagine ever doing? Sadly, this is not her decision to make. A day after her graduation, she wakes up to face her senior year again. She knows that she had completed her education, she spends hours yelling about it on everyone's face. But at the end, she has to go to college again with one question--how does she even return back in time? But this time, all she has to do is grapple with a recurring dream, try to eliminate all the dark spots in her senior year and find out the reason of this travel back in time. Yet one thing's for sure, she hasn't travelled back in time. I give you my word. I know. There are numerous black-outs, sudden falls, chills, drama and a whole different system of cheating, drugs, revenge and a famous Queen sister, who is, mysteriously, now not famous at all. Watch her swim and drown, as she struggles between her reality and to keep up with her past struggles again, literally. Meanwhile, there's one context she never understands: Death undoes anything. *** Credit to @cattown_graphics She is a real darling, and managed to present me this cover at a very short notice. I'm so grateful!
