Caitlin O'Connell is a famous poet known for her writing grim and depressing topics. A loner who keeps only her lifelong friend close. A girl struggling with substance abuse, from a broken home with a strong distrust in men. After publishing two books, she seems to get writer's block for the third, and the due date is just around the corner. With no inspiration, she slowly starts falling back in her self-destructive behavior.

Darius Aziz, a man who often takes advantage of his life as a painter, an unbussy schedule, and free from the demand for a job doing what he loves. Charming and uncaring and is a man fueled by curiosity and fascination over trivial things meets a woman who he can't seem to read or get through. Yet, despite her indifference to him, he couldn't look away. He was and is willing to do anything to help her find herself. Even if it ruins him.

A round table. 5 poets. 1 teacher. May the muses be ever in your favour. Samay hates any kind of disruption in his life. He hates being curious about things because then he loses all common sense and has to sate his curiosity. But he can't stop himself from being curious about Romi, the girl who conducts the weekly poetry sessions which Samay (forcibly) participates in. She's intelligent, yes. She knows how poetry works, sure. But she is so guarded, and that, Samay can't tolerate. Kiara is painfully shy. Bullied often as a kid, she grows up keeping her thoughts and ideas to herself, and occasionally pouring them in a sketch book or a notebook. Creativity takes over and she realises she writes poetry quite well. However, when her cousin Sarah, invites her to join a poetry group that meets weekly, Kiara must decide whether she really wants to put herself out there, in the open. Rishi is easy going and uncomplicated. He enjoys a good poem thanks to his best friend, Kabir. Kabir harbours a massive crush on Sarah so when she invites him to weekly poetry gatherings, Kabir decides to drag Rishi in. Rishi meets Kiara, the shy girl. He has made it a rule to avoid all kinds of dramas and complications, yet he feels compelled to solve the complex puzzle that is Kiara. What unites all these very different, very colourful people? Poetry, of course. The magic of words and verses draws in Kabir (a lawyer and volunteer with a heart of gold), Sarah (the girl with spunk), Samay (Mr. Grouch), Rishi, Kiara, and of course, the person who leads them to the wonderful world of poetry - Romi. This is a collection of my writing from the past 7 years. Before I started to write, I was a very lost individual, as are most teens, but I was lost in darkness. I was too afraid to move anywhere at all. I hid in the dark, debilitated by my own anxiety, sadnesses, anger, and hopelessness. I was desperate to be loved and feared it the most, I was a coward, I was self-destructive, I would mentally bend my thoughts to the point of bordering insanity. I was born into this world alone, and got too comfortable with it. Maybe I still am, but a fraction of what I used to be. This writing is extremely vulnerable, and potentially disturbing to others, as all my weaknesses, strengths, obsessions with making every moment sentimental, the sickening desperation I've had, the destructiveness, and the constant brutal reconstruction of my mind. Without guidance, it's been absolute intense chaos. Though, there is beauty in the darkness. Everything can be found in the darkness. You'll find that through my writing, I've somehow slowly become exactly what I've written. A living representation of my writing and what I wanted to be. Without myself even knowing it. A lot of my writing themes are based around nature, or some kind of natural aspect. The imagery I paint with natural metaphors is constant, the animals, just like you and I, the plants, and all other living things. I planted these seeds in my mind, unknowingly at the time, where I now feel the deep dark green jungle pressing at the inner walls of my skull. It's all that I want to consume my mind. There's so much to learn. The magic of nature, and it's infinite wisdom. It's as if I have been on this path all along, and I didn't even know what I was doing, yet my body and mind were passively taking care of me. Giving me and eventually showing exactly what I want, and wanted to become. I have every moment, every instance of suffering, and every epiphany to be thankful for. Soon, I'll be at peace from the raging storm.
