How far will you go to save the ones you love?

[ Barnyard is a creation of Steve Oedekerk and Nickelodeon Studios, I do not own the characters or franchise in any way. This story also is loosely based on the events of the May 3rd, 1999 Moore Oklahoma tornado. In no way do I mean to disrespect or mock the victims of this or any other tornado event. ]

Racing to Their Deaths (ONC 2024)
Two dueling tornado chasers compete to impress a famous self-taught scientist and storm-chaser, follow in his footsteps, and become his renowned protege. *** Twenty year old Halle Brennan's obsession with mega storms was born out of intense grief and feelings of powerlessness after her mother, Magenta, died in a sudden tornado. Dissimilarly, her nemesis, James Winter only embraced his famous father's storm chasing legacy out of duty. Despite a shoestring budget and and her youth, Halle exhibits an uncanny ability to track down deadly twisters. With her scientific mind and uncanny intuition, she intimidates James and his wealthy cohorts who rely on technical equipment and an expensive armor-plated all terrain vehicle instead of sheer guts and expertise. As a deadly storm descends on the Oklahoma plains, Halle, James and her best friends Amy and Naseem, are thrown into a monster, rain wrapped tornado that wants to kill everyone in its path. ONC Prompt No. 85 "If you do that again, I'll throw you out the freakin window. "What are you doing?" "Checking how high the drop is to see if it's worth it." *Cover models are from the movie "Divergent".Complete
Whisper in the Wind ▸ Tyler Owens
Once, long ago, Zahra Howard liked to consider herself fearless. Whether it was a car going faster than humanly possible, illegally racing down the rural roads of Oklahoma, or even chasing its tornadoes. She never seemed to fear anything. Until she did... And after that, she promised she'd never go back. She promised she'd never get that close again. Until, five years later, while she's busy sticking to that promise with determination, the past comes knocking on her door, asking for a favor. She could say no. It would be easy to say no. But the thing about her was once she cared; it was hard to let go. Even if she tried. And somehow, that made saying no harder than the alternative. Which is how she broke her own promise. How she ended up back here in Oklahoma, and right during an unprecedented tornado outbreak ravaging the place she'd once called home. ----- Twisters (2024) Twist in the Tale Series - Standalone Tyler Owens / OCComplete
Dream Ghost
~"Let's go Storm-Brooke! There's a tornado behind us! Lets go," I yelled over the screaming wind. Storm-Brooke increased her speed but she still couldn't go that fast, for she had two riders, and a dog and colt tied to her. The farther we rode the wind got more and more powerful. "Are we riding into it or something? Scarlett what is going on," a panicked Cameron called to me. "I have no f**king idea Cam! There's defiantly a tornado behind us and maybe there's one in front of us," I questioned. I pulled the bridle right and Storm-Brooke turned. Suddenly the landscape before us turned completely black. "What the--" Cameron was cut off by a growl. I looked down and saw Sesame snarling at something in the blackness. "Sesame? What is it girl," I whispered. A white light began to glow softly till it grew and took over the black completely. I suddenly felt like we were falling.~ Scarlett Hayzen and her best friend and boyfriend Cameron Yolkly have been taken to a different world were immortals, witches, wizards, unicorns, and talking animals are the normal. What will happen to the duo and their friends? Will this be their last adventure? WARNING: THERE ARE BAD WORDS IN THIS!! SO DO NOT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU!!! (COMPLETE!)Complete
