It's been seven years since Nico di Angelo braved the depths of Tartarus alongside his boyfriend, Will Solace. Seven years that included a breakup, 3 moves, and a lot of healing. Now living in LA, Nico makes his living restoring historical clothing - okay, reselling thrifted pieces at flea markets - and isn't a complete alcoholic. He may not be as happy as his sister Hazel or his old mentors Percy and Annabeth, but he's doing a lot better.
That all starts to change when weird omens of death begin to appear in his life - omens that tell him something is wrong in the Underworld. Omens that lead him on a quest across the country, to rescue the one dead loved one he never thought to try to bring back...
