"Byleth... I've died more than once now."

Two mercenaries are becoming teachers for the first time... Or is that true for both of them?

Byleth and Beresu Eisner are the two twins of Jeralt Eisner, also known as the Blade Breaker. When they save three kids from bandits, they learn they are actually the three house leaders of the three houses of the Officers Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery. One more thing; these three are also the next leaders of Fodlan.

Three Houses, four paths... Little does Byleth know, it is time for their final route. Beresu on the other hand, already knows all of this, and has been with Byleth on their journey through the different routes - the Black Eagles route twice since they would side with Edelgard or the Church, and the Blue Lions route. All that was left was the Golden Deer route, led by their childhood friend Claude. But Byleth never remembered this fact until it was too late. Can Beresu help lead the Golden Deer class to a peaceful future? Will she be able to save her father? Or will it end in war and tragedy, like the paths that have already been walked?

--Spoilers for the Golden Deer route if you didn't get that already. You don't need to play the game to understand what is going on as it will all be explained throughout the story.
