Murder Drones: Firewall (Chapter 1)
Year 3071. Exoplanet Steel-1, the only planet in the system along with it's moon, was once a site for mass drone production factory called "Chimera's Dawn" by the JC Jenson company, later modified into a secret research facility, renamed to "Chimera's Fall", to investigate what caused the destruction of Earth and reason behind drones turning against humanity. Few years after the events on the Earth, something known as "The Absolute Solver" created a deadly energy shockwave on Steel-1, resulted in planet's decaying state, annihilated all humans, destroyed most of the machinery, and deactivated or damaged most of the drones on the planet. The surviving worker drones have established a survival base in an abandoned Communications and Surveillance Center called the "Steel Eye". The story begins with an experimental prototype drone called Zero from the "Project Firewall" and his friend, Millie, a maintenance drone who survived the shockwave, managed to reactivate themselves, confirm past events thanks to the large amount of data stored in the facility, and ultimately decided to relocate from the destroyed facility in order to search for other survivors, but before that there is one more objective left, which is to find the cause of the recent appearance of a strange energy reading in the containment cell... https://youtu.be/-yV_kv1P3co ^ Link to Main Theme of the Story :D This is my first fanfiction, my first real fanmade (focused on story and characters, not shipping, but expect a romance story arc there) story and first time doing something publicly, so consider me a noob. During the Clone Wars, the Bad Batch is tasked with a variety of missions across the galaxy. An unexpected addition to their team throws a wrench in the mix, particularly for Tech, who finds a particular connection with the disillusioned Padawan-turned-mechanic named Vel. Let's be honest... this is a slow burn, cheesy romance with just enough immersion in the Star Wars world to give us all a little vacation with one of our favorite clones. No smut, just PG-13 romance and adventure. It's like a mix of Pride and Prejudice and the Jim and Pam dynamic from The Office. Also, I did my best to keep a steady plot line and tried to think of all the potential plot holes or questions or whatnot, but ultimately, this was just an excuse to indulge in imagining a little romantic adventure for Tech.
